Vung Tau – Con Dao fast ferry officially reopened from February 15, 2022

After more than 9 months of suspension, high-speed ferriy on Vung Tau – Con Dao route will start operating again from today, February 15, 2022.

A representative of Phu Quoc High Speed ​​Ferry Joint Stock Company said that in the immediate future, the company will only run ferries at 50% capacity to probe the travel needs of passengers and the pandemic situation to adjust accordingly.

Vung Tau – Con Dao fast ferry route opened in 2019, with the starting point being Cau Da port, Vung Tau City to Ben Dam port, Con Dao district.

Fast ferry is designed according to European standards, is a 2-hull ship, 47 m long, 12 m wide, carrying about 600 passengers. The ship can withstand waves of level 7, 8, maximum speed 60km/h, running time from Vung Tau to Con Dao takes more than 3 hours.

To reopen, the shipping line must comply with pandemic prevention and control regulations to ensure the safety of passengers.

The reopening of the Vung Tau-Con Dao fast ferry line contributes to diversifying the types of transport of people and tourists coming to Con Dao.
