In Vietnam, Covid-19 pandemic wave is taking place much more complicated, the new virus spreads ever faster, the whole country is in the peak period of pandemic prevention, so now fast ferry lines across the country are paused, follow the list below:
Ca Mau – Nam Du – Phu Quoc route
On May 5, before the complicated happenings of Covid-19 pandemic, Phu Quoc Express Ferry Joint Stock Company announced to partners and customers about the suspension of operation of the Ca Mau – Nam Du – Phu Quoc route as of May 4. Thus, Ca Mau – Nam Du – Phu Quoc fast ferry route must be suspended after only 5 days of resuming operation due to the complicated Covid-19 pandemic.
Previously, Phu Quoc fast ferry Joint Stock Company (Kien Giang) announced to re-operate Ca Mau – Nam Du – Phu Quoc high-speed cruise line. Accordingly, from April 29 to May 20, 21, Ca Mau – Phu Quoc; Ca Mau – Nam Du; Nam Du – Phu Quoc; Phu Quoc – Ca Mau; Phu Quoc – Nam Du; Nam Du – Ca Mau routes are operated daily.
From May 4 to August 15, 2021, Ca Mau – Phu Quoc; Ca Mau – Nam Du; Nam Du – Phu Quoc routes are operated on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Phu Quoc – Ca Mau; Phu Quoc – Nam Du; Nam Du – Ca Mau routes are operated on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
GreenlinesDP ferry line suspended transporting
On May 10, 2021, DP Green Technology Co., Ltd. (GreenlinesDP) also announced in writing to suspend GreenlinesDP passenger transportation on Bach Dang – Vung Tau, Bach Dang – Can Gio, Can Gio – Vung Tau, Bach Dang – Binh Duong – Cu Chi from May 10, 2021 to May 31, 2021. If the pandemic situation is stable, company will have a plan to notify customers and agents.
Mai Linh Express suspends Can Tho – Con Dao fast ferry route
On May 4, 2021 Mai Linh Tay Do Joint Stock Company issued Document No. 05 / MLTĐ2021-TBLT to adjust the schedule of the Can Tho – Con Dao route whereby Mai Linh Express high-speed train only runs on Saturdays and Sundays since May 8, 2021. However, there has now been notice to delay running on weekends until May 15-16, 2021.
Facing the current complicated epidemic situation, it is likely that MLE still has to announce according to the old chorus “Dear agents, the situation of Covid-19 pandemic every day has become more complicated. , spread in the community difficult to control. Ly Son pause to transport tourists to the island
From 7/5/2021 Ly Son island, Quang Ngai province temporarily stopped receiving tourists (outside the province and foreigners) coming to Ly Son Island. The pause to welcome guests to Ly Son Island is to drastically carry out the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, when the province recorded 1 case of positive for SARS-CoV-2 on the morning of May 6, 2021.
From May 7, 2021, Sa Ky – Ly Son waterway route has halved the passenger ferry session, each day there are only 4 ships going to and from the island to serve the travel needs of people in the province. This is the first time this year Ly Son Island has stopped welcoming tourists who are foreign tourists and people outside the province. Last year, the island also pause to transport tourists in early March and late July because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the occasion of April 30 and May 1, the number of tourists to Ly Son decreased by nearly 50% compared to the previous expectation, because many delegations canceled the tour, canceled the booking because of concerns about COVID-19 pandemic.
Phu Quoc Express suspends Tran De – Con Dao and Rach Gia – Hon Son – Nam Du routes
Based on the exploitation situation and the complicated evolution of the pandemic, Phu Quoc Express Ferry oint Stock Company (Phu Quoc Express) has notified partners and customers about the suspension of Tran De – Con Dao and Rach Gia – Hon Son – Nam Du fast ferries from May 15, 2021 to May 31, 2021. As soon as the pandemic situation is under control, a new announcement will be made to PQE.
Thus, since the outbreak from the beginning of May until now, Phu Quoc Express has stopped 3 Ca Mau – Nam Du – Phu Quoc, Rach Gia – Hon Son – Nam Du, Tran De – Con Dao fast ferry lines and reduce the frequency of operations on Vung Tau – Con Dao routes (only run on Saturdays and Sundays), Ha Tien – Phu Quoc, Rach Gia – Phu Quoc.
Ha Tien – Phu Quoc fast ferry line only maintains 2 round-trip a day: HA TIEN – PHU QUOC: 06H00 + 09H50 and PHU QUOC – HA TIEN: 0800 + 15H30.
