The first Phu Quoc – Nam Du Island fast ferry was operated by Superdong and put into operation in April 2020, the ferry departed from Vinh Dam Port to Nam Du Island, replacing the Bai Vong (Phu Quoc) – Nam Du Island.
A basic introduction about Nam Du Island – Phu Quoc route
Previously, to reach Nam Du Island, it was only possible to go from Rach Gia pier (Rach Gia city). This is a major obstacle in terms of time and travel for tourists in Phu Quoc who want to explore new lands, clear blue beaches, and unspoiled white sand in the well-known tourist archipelago.
With the first high-speed craft line appearing to help connect these two famous tourist islands, Superdong hopes to bring more local people, investors and domestic as well as foreign tourists will have more convenient and diversified options to exploit the potential for development.
Superdong high-speed craft officially chose Vinh Dam Port as the starting point. This will be a new bridge for domestic and foreign tourists to the archipelago known as the paradise of the Maldives in Vietnam.
The Superdong high-speed craft route from Phu Quoc to Nam Du Island not only shortens the travel distance between the islands, but also reduces about 1/3 of the time, transition costs from Rach Gia and serves people’s travel needs better. In addition to serving domestic tourists, this high-speed craft also facilitates international tourists from countries around the world to easily access the island named “Ha Long Bay” in the Southwest sea with a day trip from Phu Quoc.

The high-speed craft at Vinh Dam Port will operate with a frequency of 2 trips / day and is the only option to go from Phu Quoc to Nam Du Island (Kien Hai district, Kien Giang province). This will help tourists shorten travel distance and travel costs compared to having to go from Rach Gia pier.
