Due to the current complicated situation of Covid-19 pandemic, Con Dao Island has temporarily stopped visiting tourist sites and historical sites, so Con Dao Express fast ferry on Vung Tau – Con Dao route will be operated daily 2 times / day as follows:

In case passenger lose passport, there must be a diplomatic note consular post of the nationality of the passenger or the official letter of the Department of Foreign Affairs (certified by the local police station of the place where passenger lost passport) identity relatives and the loss of the passenger’s passport with photos and stamps on. The diplomatic note, documentary is valid for 30 days from the date of confirmation.
Infant and children passengers
Infant and children passengers are checking in on shore-to-island fast ferrues must present one of the following documents:
Birth certificate; If a birth certificate is not available for under 1 month old, a birth document is required
Certificate of social organization for children nurtured by the social organization (only valid for 6 months from the date of certification).

Passenger documents used when traveling on fast ferry must satisfy the following conditions:

Do tình hình dịch bệnh hiện nay diễn biến phức tạp, huyện Côn Đảo đã tạm dừng cho thăm viếng các địa điểm du lịch, di tích lịch sử nên tàu cao tốc Côn Đảo Express chỉ vận hành vào 2 ngày Thứ Bảy và Chủ Nhật hằng tuần, cụ thể như sau:

Passengers are entitled to a maximum of 15 kg of free luggage allowance for each Con Dao Express and Phu Quoc Express ticket.
Passengers must pay fee for the amount of lugage that exceeds the free allowance and in the manner stated in the regulations of the company.
Children traveling with adult are not entitled to the free luggage allowance.
Passengers are not allowed to bring goods and objects that are prohibited from being transported on board in accordance with current law and regulations of the company. We reserve the right to refuse to carry luggage that violates the regulations or, in our opinion, unsuitable for transport for safety, operational reasons. If passengers have violations, we have the right to sanction according to the regulations of the company or propose prosecution in accordance with the law.

Note:
In case of sending goods as pets (dogs, cats …) or poultry (chickens, ducks …), depending on the value of the goods, the minimum par value of 40,000 VND and a maximum of 100,000 VND will be charged.
Each package must not exceed 30kg, maximum size 70cm x 50cm x 32cm. Oversized packages will be charged separately depending on package size.

Luggage on Con Dao Express fast ferry
Sau hơn 6 tháng tạm dừng hoạt động, tuyến tàu cao tốc Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo dự kiến sẽ đưa vào khai thác trở lại từ ngày 21-4.
Ngày 19-4, thông tin từ Cảng vụ Hàng hải Cần Thơ cho biết, tuyến tàu cao tốc Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo sẽ chính thức đi vào khai thác từ ngày 21-4.
Theo đó, tuyến tàu cao tốc Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo và ngược lại sẽ do Công ty Cổ phần Mai Linh Tây Đô khai thác. Trước mắt, tàu Mai Linh Express sẽ khai thác mỗi ngày 2 chuyến (Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo và ngược lại). Tàu sẽ khởi hành từ Cảng hành khách du lịch Ninh Kiều (quận Ninh Kiều, TP Cần Thơ) đến Cảng Bến Đầm (huyện Côn Đảo, tỉnh Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu).
Tàu cao tốc Mai Linh Express là loại tàu 2 thân, sức chứa khoảng 300 chỗ ngồi, hải trình đi từ Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo là gần 200km, tàu sẽ mất khoảng 3,5 giờ đến 4,5 giờ di chuyển mỗi lượt đi và về.
Đây là tuyến đường thủy quan trọng, giúp tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho người dân, du khách tiếp cận với phương thức vận tải mới, tiện lợi, chi phí rẻ từ đất liền ra đảo so với việc di chuyển bằng máy bay.
Trước đó, tuyến tàu cao tốc Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo do Công ty cổ phần Tàu cao tốc Phú Quốc khai thác đã phải dừng hoạt động từ khoảng cuối tháng 8 – 2020. Nguyên nhân là do vấp phải sự phản ứng của người dân sống dọc theo sông Hậu. Người dân cho rằng, khi tàu chạy đã tạo ra sóng lớn làm sạt lở 2 bên bờ sông và ảnh hưởng đến hoạt động đánh bắt thủy sản, phương tiện nhỏ trên sông.
Liên quan đến vấn đề này, đại diện Công ty Cổ phần Mai Linh Tây Đô cho biết: Sau khi tiếp thu ý kiến từ Ban an toàn giao thông TP Cần Thơ, Ban an toàn giao thông Quốc gia, cũng như các địa phương, công ty đã quyết định khai thác với loại tàu có động cơ nhỏ. Cụ thể, Mai Linh Tây Đô khai thác tàu có sức chứa khoảng 300 khách thay vì 600 khách và chỉ sử dụng tàu 2 động cơ thay cho tàu 4 động cơ, nhằm hạn chế sóng tạo ra khi tàu chạy.
Luồng Định An là luồng cho tàu biển trọng tải lớn vào sông Hậu
Đồng thời, xuất phát từ đề xuất của Cảng vụ Hàng hải Cần Thơ, Mai Linh Tây Đô đã chọn tuyến đi qua luồng Định An rồi ra biển thay vì đi trên luồng Trần Đề. Lý do là luồng Trần Đề có lòng sông nhỏ, hoạt động của người dân nhiều như: nuôi cá, đánh bắt thủy sản…
Bên cạnh đó, để không ảnh hưởng đến người dân sống 2 bên bờ, thay vì tàu sẽ chạy 32 hải lý (khoảng 60km/giờ), tàu sẽ giảm tốc độ xuống chỉ còn 17 hải lý ở khu vực sông Hậu (tương đương khoảng 30km/giờ) nhằm hạn chế tạo sóng. Ngoài ra, đơn vị sẽ phối hợp với các địa phương thông báo cho người dân về khung giờ tàu sẽ đi qua để người dân sử dụng phương tiện nhỏ, không đủ điều kiện lưu thông trên luồng hàng hải sẽ hạn chế đi lại.
Đại diện Cảng vụ Hàng hải Cần Thơ cho biết: Việc tàu Mai Linh chạy trên tuyến hàng hải sông Hậu qua luồng Định An là hoàn toàn đúng quy định. Bên cạnh đó, việc người dân đóng đăng, đóng đáy, thả lưới,… trên luồng hàng hải là trái với những quy định hiện hành, kể cả việc người dân sử dụng phương tiện nhỏ, không đảm bảo các yếu tố an toàn cũng sẽ không được tham gia lưu thông trên tuyến hàng hải. Thời gian tới, Cảng vụ Hàng hải Cần Thơ sẽ tiếp tục phối hợp với các địa phương để tuyên truyền đến người dân về việc này.
